EOO, Inc. (EOO) is the successor to GTE
Government Systems' Electro-Optics Organization (GTE/EOO) which, for
over 25 years, was a pioneer and leading electro-optic systems and
technology developer for the U. S. Government.
Through a leveraged buyout in mid-1992, the key GTE/EOO employees
acquired all the electro-optical resources (including laboratory
equipment, prototype hardware, and intellectual property (patents),
drawings/designs, reports and proposals) from GTE which were necessary
to manage and conduct business as a new entity. From the award of our
first contract in March of 1993, EOO's
revenues grew steadily to the point where they exceeded $3 M in 1999.
As a new entity, EOO has obtained over 60 contracts and $38M in awards
through December, 2004.
The co-founders, Mr. Donald A. Leonard, Dr. Paul J. Titterton and Mr. Dan J. Radecki, each have over
30 years of experience in the electro-optics fields of laser
communications, laser radar, and optical remote sensing. They are also
nationally recognized for their achievements in these fields.
EOO's experience includes the
R&D, advanced development and engineering of systems, specialized
lasers and other electro-optic components for these systems. Success
has been measured by the delivery of turnkey prototype systems for
field utilization by our customers. These systems have operated under
the most adverse of environmental and operational conditions. In the
future, our success will also be gauged by how successfully we
transition our products to the commercial marketplace.
EOO performs work for US government agencies and commercial clients in
the electro-optic market segments of optical communications, optical
radar and optical remote sensing. Transitioning years of system
technology development for the government into solutions to commercial
customer problems has become one of our strategic objectives. EOO has
had several Phase I/II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR)
contracts where dual use and commercial potential is a requirement for
award. EOO is positioned to capture follow-on efforts, leading to
possible commercial sales even though our major customers are still the
US Government and its Prime contractors.
Clients who have a particularly challenging problem which involves an
electro-optical technology solution, and who need a mature,
disciplined, systematic team to help in its development are invited to
explore what EOO, Inc. has to offer. We are happy to discuss strategic
alliances which have the potential for mutual benefits for our clients
and ourselves.
